ABOUT Me
Hello friends, family and strangers
My name is Rachel. I was born in Lake Forest, Illinois, and moved to Bozeman, Montana, with my family when I was three.
I have an older sister who inspires me to be whoever I, Rachel, wish to be. My parents have adventurous spirits and find joy in simple moments.
As a child, I spent time in nature, whittling sticks, camping, skiing, hiking, biking, and playing soccer… all the outdoorsy things you can imagine. Soccer was always my priority from a young age. I trained most weekdays and traveled to play competitive games on weekends. I played soccer at Florida Southern College in Lakeland, where I studied Exercise Science and Business.
After college, I moved to London for two years to work for the NHS and travel. While in London, I discovered the healing power of Yoga, Meditation, and Mindfulness. This prompted me to complete a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training Certification in Costa Rica. I now live in New York City and attend Columbia University, working towards my Master’s in Psychology in Education with a focus on spirit, mind, and body.
I spent years deciding whether or not to start a blog, and eventually found the courage. I enjoy thinking, reflecting and writing for my own benefit, but also for others to relate to. My aim is to be real, promote vulnerability, normalize all thoughts and share experiences.
Welcome to my blog.
